Thesis - Writing Tips and Information

A thesis (often written by bachelors, masters and doctorial students) is a document written in support of candidature for an academic degree or professional qualification presenting an author research and findings. It is not only about reporting facts but it is rather making a case , proving a point by using the facts of your researched to back up your case. It is actually and essay that is trying to prove. g) Discussions. This a section that answers specific questions based on your findings and results. The answers provided in this section is based on facts.

h) Conclusions. This is the strongest and the most important statement that you make from your conclusion. It is usually a very brief and straight to the point.

i) Recommendations. This include remedial action to solve the problem at hand. It also create a platform for future investigation on the topic or on one related to it.

j) Acknowledgements. This section include revealing anyone who helped you. It includes technical, financial and intellectual support.

k) References. This sections cites data, concepts and ides that are not your own. It's important to fill this section with references to trusted sources of information. It’s great when writer can use different sources and understands importance of using trusted researches. Your mentor will see that you can work with different data and information. l) Appendices. It includes maps, license, details of complicated procedures and figures and tables of more than two pages.

They have usually been working in libraries for a long time and have seen a lot of students. So your task is not a surprise for them. It’s always great to listen to experienced person; maybe you will find something new.

2. Internet. Internet is also a good platform to search for information regarding your thesis. Nowadays internet becomes one of the biggest storages of different information. However, you should be very careful when looking for information via the internet because some website usually post data that is not accurate. How to find trusted source? Well, everything depends on the topic. You can try to find websites of different institutes or laboratories. Such websites usually publish a lot of information. You can also find different contact information and get in touch with scientists directly. Maybe someone will give you advice or data you can use in your paper.

3. Questionnaires. Disbursing questionnaires to a specific group of audience can enable you get the information that you want. However, if you want to get the right information make sure that the questionnaire you come up with is open ended.
